Functional description IGF-1 increased the cell viability, invasion, migration and S-G2/M cell cycle phase accumulation of UM cells. The effects of IGF-1 on UM cells were reversed by LY294002 (a PI3K inhibitor) or Akt siRNA, and the overexpression of FoxO3a also attenuated basal invasion and migration of UM.
